Young people who are struggling emotionally or mentally, usually ages 8 to 28, and their parents, too. Please note:
If your child is currently taking medication, we’ll leave that to be managed between you and their doctor(s). And the reality is, that unless they need that medication for life-saving support, they may no longer ‘need’ those meds for very long after joining us and taking on what’s been missing for them. Again, you and their doctor will work that out together.

According to WebMD, teens and young people “who feel sad and hopeless, are more likely to engage in risky behaviors than are those who have a more positive outlook. 

  • They are 3 times more likely to use illicit drugs, 

  • 2.3 times more likely to engage in binge drinking, 

  • 1.5 times more likely to drink and drive, and 

  • 1.3 times more likely to have sex without using any method of contraception.”

Girls seem to experience more anxiety, and they’ve surpassed boys in attempted suicide. Our kids are crying out for help. Many experts blame social media, and while it seems clear to be contributing, these statistics have been trending upward for over three decades.
